Drone Videography; the Do’s and Don’ts

Drones are becoming more and more popular for aerial videography. However, there are some do's and don’ts that you should know before you start filming. This blog post will outline the basics of drone videography so that you can create amazing videos with ease!

It is really important to make sure that you are practicing the right technique to get the best quality drone footage. I will give you 3 tips to make your drone videography better.

Tip 1: Make sure that your shots that you are getting match with the company you are shooting for.

I think this is a key aspect to shooting good aerial videography. By knowing what kinds of shots that companies have used in the past, it allows you to know what kinds of shots that you need to get in order to fulfill their needs in a drone video. Be sure to look at all of the videos that they have on their page before you go and shoot. You will be able to give it a similar style to the videos that they already have and you will be able to match the colors too so they can have a unified marketing scheme.

Tip 2: Try to get a general since of what your clients want before you get there to shoot.

It is always a good idea to make sure that you ask your client a long list of questions before the shoot to make sure that you are on the same page about what they are expecting form you for the project. Obviously you need to put together the best possible product that you can; because you want to make sure that every client is getting the best product you can give. Once they post it to social media that is going to be how people remember you.

Tip 3: Give your client a time table that allows you to know you will be able to get work done in a timely manor.

This allows you to keep a good reputation with the people you are working with, and it also allows you to make sure that your clients are happy with their overall product that they are receiving.
