Cell Tower Inspections; Why using a drone is cheaper and more efficient than by hand.
Hey! Welcome to my aerial photography blog where I am able to talk about some of my experiences about what I do as an aerial photographer in Lincoln and Omaha. I capture anything from architecture, construction, real estate, landscaping, and finally; what I am going to be talking about in this article: Cell tower inspections with a drone. I will go over my experiences with cell tower inspections, what the company was looking for, and what I am able to offer when inspecting a cell tower. Let’s get into it!
What kinds of cell towers have I inspected in the past?
I got a call from Graham at hire a UAV pro about the possibility of inspecting some cell towers for him. He gave me the mission of inspecting towers in Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska.
Why are doing cell towers with a drone more efficient and better than doing them by hand?
Inspecting cell towers with a drone is a more efficient and cost-effective method compared to traditional methods of manual inspection. Drones equipped with high-resolution cameras and sensors can capture detailed images and data from hard-to-reach areas of a tower, enabling quick and accurate identification of issues. This eliminates the need for inspectors to climb towers and manually inspect components, which can be time-consuming and dangerous. Moreover, drones can cover a large area in a short amount of time, reducing the overall inspection time and costs. By leveraging drone technology, cell tower inspections can be completed more efficiently, resulting in faster problem identification, reduced downtime, and increased safety.
